About the competition: The competition has been organized annually since 2006 at the beginning of February and always takes place at the headquarters of the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) in Paris. The participants are mainly law students, and sometimes students from different faculties related to mediation and negotiation (e.g. business studies). The students’ task is to perform as a party in commercial  mediations. Scenarios of the cases are created by professional mediators cooperating with the ICC on a daily basis. This is the biggest and most prestigious event of this kind in the world and forms part of an international project called Mediation Week (along with the annual conference on ADR) and has become a permanent event in the calendar of professional mediators and representatives of business organizations and firms from all round the world.
